I called the hotel and they don’t have my reservation. Should I panic?!

There is no need to panic! Though we begin accepting reservations in August, the hotels don’t receive our reservations until late February to early March. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, this can only be done through SXSW Housing, not directly through the hotel (unless within 72 hours before your scheduled check-in).

You can request changes in three ways:

  1. Use the Request for Change link located at the bottom of your reservation confirmation email.
  2. Your SXSW Social or SXSW EDU Social Account
  3. The Shopping Cart account used to purchase your registration
