To book a room block:
- If you are attending SXSW or SXSW EDU, we require a 7-room minimum for room blocks.
- Room blocks are based on your group’s confirmed registrations. We can hold one (1) room per confirmed badge purchase. If everyone in your group is registering individually through the SXSW Cart, all group members must be registered before we can hold rooms. If you have submitted a Group Registration Form, our Sales team must have issued your invoice before we can hold rooms.
- Once your group is registered, email housing@sxsw.com. Our Housing team will work closely with you to find the accommodations you need based on current availability.
- Because rooms are allocated on a “first come, first served” basis, we recommend registering and booking as soon as possible for the largest selection of hotels and room types.
- Though we do not offer group discounts for hotel rates, you will still have access to our discounted SXSW hotel rates that are available to all Registrants.
If you don’t meet the room minimum for a block:
You can still book multiple rooms without requesting a room block!
- Once registered, use the hotel booking link in your registration confirmation email to access SXSW hotel availability.
- You can book up to three (3) rooms at a time through the booking site, based on availability.
- If you are coordinating travel for multiple registered attendees, we recommend having one group organizer purchase the registrations together through the SXSW Cart. This can make it easier to keep track of registrations and hotel reservations.

Tip: Groups of 7 or more can receive discounted badge rates by registering through the Group Registration Form.
