How do I book multiple rooms?

To book a room block:

  • If you are attending SXSW, we require a 20-room minimum for room blocks.
  • If you are attending SXSW EDU, we require a 10-room minimum for room blocks.
  • Each Registrant may book one (1) room. If everyone in your group is registering individually through the SXSW Cart, everyone must be registered before we can hold rooms. If you have submitted a Group Registration Form, our Sales team must have issued your invoice before we can hold rooms.
  • Once your group is registered, email housing@sxsw.com. Our Housing team will work closely with you to find the accommodations you need based on current availability.
  • Because rooms are allocated on a “first come, first served” basis, we recommend registering and booking as soon as possible for the largest selection of hotels and room types.
  • Though we do not offer group discounts for hotel rates, you will still have access to our discounted SXSW hotel rates that are available to all Registrants. Visit the Hotel Availability page for your event to view our hotel rates.

 

If you don’t meet the room minimum for a block:

  • To register and book hotels for multiple people, we recommend that one group organizer purchases all registrations in one SXSW Cart. This will make it easier for you to stay organized and make each reservation back to back.
  • Simply follow the instructions in our How to Book FAQ for each person who needs a reservation.

 

Tip: Groups of 10 or more can receive discounted badge rates by registering through the Group Registration Form.
