A variety of events at SXSW offer Reservations, a portion of seats in the event venue saved for attendees who want guaranteed access. Popular event Reservations do go quickly, but our events always have walkup lines. SXSW's magic is a mix of planning and serendipity so if you aren't able to get a Reservation, check out the event status indicator to see if getting in line makes sense. If you're running late, want to change plan, or see where the adventure takes you - check out nearby sessions, activations, and experiences.
How Many Reservations Does My Badge Get And When Can I Use Them?
Platinum Badges and CxO Badges comes with 3 Reservations per day. Innovation, Film & TV, Music, and SXSW EDU Badges come with 2 Reservations per day. Badgeholders can use Reservations to help plan their SXSW Experience in advance, but also know all SXSW events have walkup lines. Reservations only account for a portion of the room and are only applicable for certain events. Reservations will go live:
- March 9, 11am CT / 9am PT — Platinum Badges and CxO Badges
- March 9, 2pm CT /12pm am PT — All Badges
- March 14, 11am CT/9am PT — Platinum, CxO and Film & TV Badges get unlimited, non-conflicting screening reservations
