Starting at SXSW EDU 2023, the Launch Startup Competition has included a pool of semifinalists in addition to the finalists to celebrate the richness of innovations in the education space. While semifinalists are not eligible to pitch in the live competition to receive one of the three awards, they have access to opportunities to showcase their products and connect with the SXSW EDU community and audience. Semifinalists are required to attend SXSW EDU 2027 in Austin to maintain their semifinalist status.
