No. Hotels will not receive all our reservations until late February. If you call the hotel before the end of February, they will not have a record of your reservation, thus causing confusion. Additionally, hotel staff are instructed to direct you back to SXSW Housing for changes or cancellations.
The easiest way to make changes is via the Request for Change link located at the bottom of your reservation confirmation email. You can also make changes in your SXSW Shopping Cart, or your SXSW Social account.
Exception: Changes made within 72 hours of check-in. To ensure your hotel receives last-minute changes, it is best to process changes online and call the hotel to alert them, especially if your check-in date has changed or you are arriving after hours.
