When you complete your SXSW hotel request you immediately receive an email acknowledging receipt of your request. Reservations are then processed in time-stamp order, manually, by the Housing team. Once your reservation has been processed, you receive your reservation confirmation email.
Be sure to keep your reservation confirmation as it contains important information including, your check-in & check-out dates, the cancellation penalty deadlines, deposit information and more.
In late February, we send our reservations to the hotels. When the hotel receives and processes your reservation, you receive a third confirmation email that contains your confirmation number. This is when you can make alternate payment arrangements with the hotel directly if needed. See our Reservation Policies for more information about arranging your credit card authorization.
